Prior to joining Accion Group, Mr. Carden led one of the nation's largest utilities in the redevelopment of an existing proprietary resource adequacy model for the non-competitive market, designing the software to take into account tie constraints, market availability of generation, and fuel supply. This software overhaul was renamed Strategic Energy and Risk Valuation Model (SERVM), and has been used to evaluate resource adequacy for numerous studies. Mr. Carden's strong knowledge of demand forecasting, demand-side option management, and the risks and benefits of expanding resources with limited physical resources provides our team with formidable computer modeling and evaluation skills. Mr. Carden holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from The University of Alabama.
